Riley's Basement
Project Overview
Riley's Basement is an environment built for Game Party Champions, the Wii U party title where players compete across a variety of mini-games in themed venues. The Riley's Basement venue drops players into a lived-in teenage basement hangout — warm ambient lighting, wood paneling, and layered personal details — as the home for a suite of casual mini-game challenges.
Role
My role on Riley's Basement spanned art direction, lighting, atmosphere, asset creation and placement, animation, various modeling and asset texturing, optimization and processing, set dressing, material networks, decals, heads-up display and UI, and VFX creation and placement. I owned end-to-end look development for the venue, tuning every visual layer to fit the Wii U's performance targets while capturing the specific warmth of a well-loved family basement.
